Are you as confused as me when it comes to deciding the food option that you want to have? Don’t worry I will wear the superhero cape, analyze all the details and come to your rescue with the question that is most frequently asked- Cheeseburger or Pizza? I love both the food options equally, and this is the toughest question I ever came across.
Cheeseburger vs Pizza
Let’s start with the basics first, Pizza comes in different sizes, and you can decide which size would you prefer for satiating your hunger. I think a regular size pizza is perfect for individual, medium size for two people and a large pizza for groups. When it comes to a burger, there are no options of size available, and you have to eat the entire burger which is fine when your hungry but if you want to eat it with little hunger it might result in overeating.
When it comes to calories, a cheeseburger will have more calories as compared to a small-sized pizza. As there is a fried patty in the burger it definitely increases the calorie intake plus it is fried so it also increases the cholesterol. Pizza is baked, and if you have just two slices of it, you will consume somewhere near 400-450 calories, whereas the patty alone in the cheeseburger has 350 calories.
It looks like pizza is winning this fight. Okay so now if we come to the types of toppings that you can add on that pizza, it’s countless. Burgers are also available in many varieties starting from vet to non-veg. But I like chicken toppings on the pizza base baked with spices and marinara sauce rather than in a burger bun with mayo. This depends on your taste preferences but then who can say no to the veggies topped on the cheese burst pizza. That melted cheese and vegetables is the combination made in heaven. Oh and didn’t I mention how just adding chili flakes and oregano will enhance its taste.
I also love cheeseburgers because it is filling and it goes well with fries and coke which makes it, even more, a no-no option. Adding fries to your meal means adding more fried food, fats and calories to your daily diet. I would save the choice of a cheeseburger for a cheat day. On the other hand, pizza literally can be eaten as it is and if you need a company, you can always order a diet coke to keep those bad boys (calories) in check.
The sodium content is higher in both the food options, it is above 900 mg which is higher than the daily recommended intake, but again pizza has little bit low sodium as compared to a cheeseburger. Both the food options do not give a lot of nutrients and are advised to eat one a while.
So after comparing both the options, I think having some slices of pizza is a better option than having a giant cheeseburger. Also if you are on a diet, you can have 2-3 slices of pizza and satiate your hunger. And who says no to cheesy, spicy and fantastic pizza. Talking about pizza is making my mouth water, and now I’m wearing my shoes to go to a pizza joint and enjoy some goodness.
